Especially because of the use of the Diablo, typical Chinese tool. Diablos of different measures (of 3cm the smaller one, of half a meter the biggest one)will be thrown up reaching an incredible height. INDIA – TRANSGLOBAL UNDERGROUND
Start time: 21:30
Place: Piazza San Marco
There are thousands of way to travel around, and one of them is to travel through the sounds, and inside them.Since eleven years, the Transglobal Underground win great success. They are extraordinary musicians of an imaginary circus that overcomes any border. Their concert will be the musical event of the Oriental Express Carnival. The multi-ethnic music group from London invented at the beginning of the 90’s the ethnic-techno style and today, together with the Loop Group and the Asian Dub Foundation, they represent the best synthesis of the fusion between the avanguarde electronic London music and the Eastern ethnic sounds. In their music it is possible to hear Western India dub melodies, Bollywood style violins, arabs polyphonies, medio Oriental multi tones, and the entire range of the music from the Tower of Babel. The golden London isolation gives to the group the never ending inspiration, a mix between the nostalgia for the distant native countries and an exquisite urban sensibility. Can objects migrate? No doubt about the persons possibility to migrate, but what about the objects? Can the tablas, the djembès, the dhols, the congas, the drums of any longitude or latitude, migrate? Can the sitars and the string instruments of all the continents mix with electronic music? The answer is “yes, they can” and the Transglobal Underground will confirm it performing in Venice, the only Italian date of their tour.
